Welcome to Kendle Farm

We supply and deliver traditional free-range beef, pork and lamb direct to you, the customer. You can buy our meat either directly from us via mail order, or from our farm shop, Farthings, in Dulverton.

OUR MEAT
Our livestock is naturally fed and reared on the farm, using traditional, non-intensive farming methods. Our animals mature slowly allowing the meat to achieve the highest level of taste and succulence.

Kendle is a traditional grassland livestock farm, situated within the heart of the beautiful and rugged hills of the Exmoor National Park.

Kendle has been in our family for the last 50 years, during which time it has become well known for rearing & producing prize-winning livestock. Although the farm is not registered as organic, we are fully committed to using free-range methods of farming.

How did we start selling our home reared free range meat to the public?

After eating our own meat happily for years, we decided to share our delicious wares, and started selling the odd half lamb or pig to friends and family. We were thrilled with the enthusiasm and positive response we received, so, fired by a constant stream of requests for more meat, decided to open our venture to you, via a website.

Rob & Tim run the farm, they make it their first priority to feed and handle their stock to the highest standard, they are passionate about their farming and will do everything to make sure that their animals are as happy and comfortable as they possibly can be.

BEEF
Our beef is bred from the traditional Aberdeen Angus breed of cattle. They graze on lush pastures during the summer period, and are kept in large open barns in winter. They are fed on home grown hay & silage. The meat is hung for 3 weeks, which intensifies the flavour & taste, and ensures a perfectly tender bite.

PORK
Our pork is bred from traditional breeds such as the Saddleback, crossed with the Large White. This ensures an excellent chop, succulent roasting joints and superb crackling.

LAMB
Our lambs are born in warm, straw-filled sheds during March & April, and graze with their mothers on high green pastures through the summer. They are bred from the centuries old local breed, the Exmoor Horn, and the meaty Texel for excellent leanness and taste.

All beef boxes contain various roasting joints (all boned and rolled), steak, mince and stewing beef.

All of our farmhouse meat is packed in chilled polystyrene boxes, and labelled ready for the freezer.

We produce our farmhouse meat to order, therefore fresh boxes are always available. Local delivery is free. National deliveries will be priced depending on weight of order as follows:

Orders up to 10kg - £12.00

Orders 10kg and over - £15.00

Orders over £120 - Free Delivery
